skekAyuk the Gourmand

skekNa the Slave-Master

Nor did the feasts prepared by skekAyuk the Gourmand and his teams of harassed slaves satisfy any appetite for long. Hot spices, sweet liqueurs, cream-rich sauces, were his delight; and he boasted he had a different menu for every feast. But between meals the Skeksis went to skekNa the Slave-Master for scraps to appease the raging hunger they always felt. SkekNa was purely and openly evil from the beginning, but without him the work of the castle would never have been done.

SkekAyuk is too slovenly and slothful to care. He is constantly wiping the corners of his mouth. He is part of an alliance consisting of skekSil, skekEkt, and skekSo. They made the largest, and therefore successful, faction at the last enthronement.

SkekAyuk's kitchen is decorated ten thousand times with the "emerging skeleton" pattern manufacture by Gelfling.

SkekNa wears a patch to cover a mucid eye socket and has a hook for one hand. He has no imagination and no nobility at all. He has no ear for music himself, but clams to have one and has taken responsibility for selecting and providing promising Pod specimens to the Scientist for the chorus. He walks with a strutt. He gives powerful support to skekUng, along with skekTek.
