And skekEkt the Ornamentalist made clothes, above all for himself, rich fabrics that dripped jewels, the death of a hundred birds for one cloak. He first discovered the art of anointing the skin with a paste of clotted blood and diamond powder, to restore the sparkle of youth.
His decadence and perversion can never command obedience.
The results of the Scientist's experiments on the Pod chorus are delivered over to him. He is in charge of rehearsals. He makes a further selection, incorporating those he likes into the chorus and destroying the rest.
He dresses in peacock silks and rich jeweled pieces.
He is part of an alliance consisting of skekSil, skekAyuk, and skekSo. They made the largest, and therefore successful, faction at the last enthronement.
Despite Aughra's scorn for him, skekEkt the Ornamentalist had some real talent as a designer. He has a considerable decorative gift.
